Editorial guidelines

"we request that you follow a few basic conventions" -- would be nice (and useful) if you said what those basic conventions are, or gave a link to them, or something...e.g. is there a template for creating a new page? I could not find one. --MicheleC 09:10, 19 February 2008 (EST)

I second that -- or even just a link to a few "exemplary" ones from other institutions so that folks know who to copy! --Dmdwiggi 13:10, 26 February 2008 (EST)::

I just added some guidelines under the "editorial guidelines"--let me know if this is helpful or not. Also, in the "Help" section, it does explain how to add a new page: "To create a new page, first please create an account and login. (See above.) Then, use the search box on the left and enter the full name of the archival institution you wish to add or edit. (The search term that you enter will eventually become the page title, so, please don't abbreviate.)" When you add a new page, it should come up with a template. I'm not sure that's the most intuitive way to do it, but that seems to be the way it works. --Ktheimer 20:08, 27 February 2008 (EST)
