Well preserved records for the premodern period: Poznań, Kalisz;and a number of smaller towns. Catalogs available on site. Language of documents Latin or Polish, occasionally German and Hebrew Modern period, the region of Great Poland (Wielkopolska): Language: German for the official documents from 1772-1918, and Polish.

Suggestions for approaching the material:
The prices for making copies have increased dramatically. For premodern material, a digital photograph is 20PLZ or 60 PLZ (if the document is a parchment document); modern materials are cheaper. Please check before ordering. They are very accommodating and will do everything to fill out the order before you leave.
Housing and getting by for less in the area:
