[edit] Collection Summary:

The American Numismatic Society’s (ANS) collection consists of approximately 800,000 coins and related objects of all periods. Its greatest strengths are in Greek, Byzantine, and Islamic coinage, but all areas are represented. The library includes approximately 100,000 books, periodicals, pamphlets, and auction and sale catalogs relating to numismatics.
